Rick Santiesteban, Partner and Director of Avionics
Rick has over 33 years of aviation experience and is well known within the general aviation community. Prior to joining Vortek Aviation, Rick was previously the General Manager for Avionics at Lone Mountain Aviation in Las Vegas, NV where he developed the company into one of the premiere avionics centers in the western United States, Prior to LMA, Rick has played key roles in several organizations such as Bombardier, Big Horn Airways and El Paso Aero. As Director of Avionics for Vortek, Rick oversees all avionics and maintenance operations. He has developed a reputation for delivering innovative solutions that solve critical problems for a wide range of clients. Rick has been one of the top dealers for Garmin for many years and and has been a long time Aircraft Electronics Association (AEA) member. Most recently under his leadership, Vortek was recognized by AEA with the Training Excellence Award.

Airframe/Instrument Panel Modification
With our state of the art C&C and fabrication technology, we have the ability to tackle the toughest jobs that other avionics shops cannot perform. As part of our completion package, clients are provided with drawings that include both wiring schematics and airframe engineering.
Testing and Certifications
As FAA regulations change with greater frequency, our team of skilled and knowledgable experts keep you in compliance so as not to disrupt flight operations. Vortek utilizes state of the art test equipment to perform all testing and certifications. We are qualified to handle both Part 135 and Part 91 standards, to include FAR 91.411, 91.413 and RVSM certifications.
